About the Origin

With over 500,000 coffee farmers, coffee is a way of life in Colombia. This specific coffee comes from a co-op of coffee farmers in the Santa Marta mountains, one of the oldest and most sought after coffee regions in Colombia. This coffee is hand-picked, primarily by family members and local neighbors, carefully selecting cherries that have reached their optimal level of ripeness. Once harvested, the coffee is pulped and undergoes a fermentation process lasting between 18 and 48 hours. It is then washed twice to ensure proper cleanliness of the beans. Finally, the coffee is dried for 12 to 18 days, depending on climatic conditions, particularly temperature and ambient humidity.
