The decaf process used in this coffee is ethyl acetate process, also known as the sugarcane decaf process. This process uses ethyl acetate, a naturally occurring solvent derived from fruits, to remove caffeine from green coffee beans. The use of ethyl acetate as a decaffeinating agent has the full approval of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
